Over two days, October 21st and 22nd, 2022, a delegation from the cluster of five universities' trade unions (Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National Economics University, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Natural Sciences, and University of Civil Engineering) visited and presented gifts to 14 boarding and semi-boarding primary, secondary, and high schools in Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province.
In accordance with the policy of the Vietnam Education Union regarding the mobilization of support for education in mountainous, remote, and disadvantaged areas; and in implementation of the 2022-2023 work plan of the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of the 5 Universities in the Hanoi area, on October 21st and 22nd, 2022, a delegation from the 5 Universities' Trade Union visited and presented gifts to 14 primary, secondary, and boarding/semi-boarding primary, secondary, and high schools in Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province. The aim was to encourage teachers and students to overcome difficulties and continue to teach and learn well. This is one of the annual charitable social activities supporting education in mountainous, remote, and disadvantaged areas carried out by the 5 Universities' Trade Union.

Assoc. Prof. Dr.Assoc. Prof. Dr.Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien (Chairperson of the Trade Union of the University of Natural Sciences) represented the delegation and delivered a speech at the gift-giving ceremony.
Attending and presenting gifts were representatives from the Party Committee, Board of Directors, and Trade Union Executive Committee of 5 universities. The delegation donated 255 warm blankets and 19 sets of reference books to students in 7 primary schools, 6 secondary schools, and 1 ethnic boarding primary and secondary school in Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province. The total value of the gifts was 150 million VND. Although the gifts from the teachers of the 5 universities' Trade Union cluster were not large, they represented sincere affection and a humane act of sharing for students in difficult circumstances. These small gifts contribute to motivating teachers and students to overcome difficulties, teach well, and learn even better. At the end of the donation drive, the delegation returned to Hanoi with the spirit of continuing to organize more meaningful activities to share and encourage teachers and students in schools in mountainous, remote, and disadvantaged areas.
