On October 21 and 22, 2022, a delegation of the Trade Union Cluster of 5 schools (Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National Economics University, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Natural Sciences and University of Construction) visited and presented gifts to 14 primary, secondary and high schools in Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province.
Implementing the policy of the Vietnam Education Trade Union on mobilizing support for education in mountainous, remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas; implementing the work plan for the 2022-2023 school year of the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Cluster 5 Universities in Hanoi for 2 days, October 21 and 22, 2022, the delegation of the Trade Union of Cluster 5 schools organized a visit and presented gifts to 14 primary, secondary and high schools, boarding and semi-boarding schools in Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province to encourage teachers and students to overcome difficulties to continue teaching and studying well. This is one of the annual social charity activities to support education in mountainous, remote and isolated areas of the Trade Union of Cluster 5 Schools.
Assoc.Prof.Dr.Assoc.Prof.Dr.Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien (Chairwoman of the Trade Union of the University of Natural Sciences) represented the delegation to speak at the gift-giving ceremony.
Attending and presenting gifts were representatives of the Party Committee, Board of Directors, and Executive Board of the Trade Union of 5 Universities. The delegation presented 255 blankets, 19 sets of reference books to students of 7 primary schools, 6 secondary schools and 1 boarding school for ethnic minorities in Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province. The total value of the gifts was 150 million VND. Although the gifts from the teachers of the Trade Union of 5 Universities were not large, they were sincere feelings, sharing with a deep humanity sent to students in difficult circumstances. The small gifts contributed to helping teachers and students have more motivation to continue to overcome difficulties, teach well and study better. At the end of the support period, the delegation returned to Hanoi with the spirit of continuing to organize more truly meaningful activities to share and encourage teachers and students of schools in remote and isolated areas.
