Conference Overview
On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union, Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh, President of the School Trade Union, presented a summary report reviewing some outstanding activities in all areas of the Trade Union in the past Semester I.
Chairwoman of the School's Trade Union Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh presented a report highlighting some of the results achieved in Semester I.
The Union always cares, supports, and encourages union officials, especially female union officials, with very practical activities: Organizing the Cake Festival with the theme "October Flavor" and the talk show "Living happily in a busy life"; Launching "Ao Dai Week to School" on the occasion of the opening of the new school year; Organizing gift giving and visiting union members in difficult circumstances on Vietnam Teachers' Day. The Union Executive Committee also organizes the Mid-Autumn Festival program for children of officials and civil servants, attracting a large number of children to attend, and rewarding children with excellent academic achievements. At the same time, accompanying lecturers in improving their expertise, scientific research, and innovating teaching methods, typically successfully organizing the seminar "Improving the effectiveness of testing and evaluation for learners".
The school's trade union has improved the organization and personnel of the faculties and professional working committees of the school's trade union; organized training conferences on trade union work and source activities; inspected trade union activities of units; approved trade union activity plans of units to better grasp and support the activities of departmental trade unions.
Promoting the humanistic identity in the activities of the Trade Union, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the school has launched and successfully organized many activities to share the difficulties of students and union members: Cooperating with the Vibe Project to donate nearly 400 Ao Dai to new female students in difficult circumstances; Organizing the program "0 Dong Supermarket" and giving meaningful gifts of cash and essential items to 134 students in especially difficult circumstances; Actively participating in volunteer activities such as contributing with the Trade Union of 5 universities to build 02 boarding rooms for students of Bac Ai 1 Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Bac Ai village, De Tham commune, Trang Dinh district, Lang Son province
The departmental unions were very proactive and creative in proposing and organizing many practical activities, promoting the strengths of each unit: The International Studies Faculty Union organized a seminar: Wine culture on the banquet table; The Literature Faculty Union combined with the Specialized High School Union to organize a seminar "Application of multimedia in teaching new general education textbooks"; The Oriental Studies Faculty Union organized a program to experience Korean culinary culture, the International Studies Faculty Union organized a seminar "Wine culture on the banquet table"...
“In a short time of Semester I, with a lot of professional work, the union has implemented many meaningful activities. To achieve these achievements, first of all, it is the attention and support of the Board of Directors, departments in the school; the sense of responsibility and exemplary role of the school's Union Executive Committee officers, the initiative and creativity of the Unions of the units; the enthusiastic participation and unanimity of all union members" - President of the School Union Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh emphasized.
In the preliminary conference, the delegates also listened to Ms. Kim Thi Diep Ha - Accounting Officer of the School Union, present the notes on the financial operations of the Union. Through that, the Executive Committee of the Union of the department, especially those assigned to be in charge of the financial work of the Union, grasped specifically and in detail the principles and regulations on the settlement of the Union's revenue and expenditure, and noted a situation that may occur in reality that needs to be handled flexibly, both in accordance with the principles and taking better care of the spiritual and material life of the Union members.
Delegates exchanged and discussed enthusiastically about specific and practical activities in Semester II of the 2023-2024 school year.
Also at the Conference, on behalf of the School's Trade Union Executive Committee, Vice President Nguyen Van Thuy presented a number of changes in the Humanitarian Fund Regulations (established and operating since 2013) to suit the actual situation and asked for opinions from the participating delegates. 100% of the participating delegates completely agreed to approve, and at the same time expressed the wish that the Humanitarian Fund be further expanded to be able to contribute to sharing and caring for more cadres and lecturers in difficult circumstances.
The conference ended in a warm and exciting atmosphere with the successes achieved and the determination to successfully implement the plan set for the 2023-2024 school year, affirming the role and position of the Trade Union organization in taking care of the spiritual and material life of staff and lecturers; creating a united, consensual, sharing and contributing positively to the overall development of the School.
