At the Party Conference, delegates listened to and discussed the Summary Report on the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Executive Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU in 2023. The report is a panoramic picture of the school's key activities, in which the School Party Committee has organized to disseminate viewpoints, tasks and solutions to key staff, and at the same time assigned affiliated Party cells to study, disseminate the Resolution and develop action plans and programs, concretizing them into targets, tasks and implementation roadmap. The school has issued annual KPI performance assessment indicators, including indicators on policy consulting.
The Party Committee has completed the positions and personnel, issued 256 documents directing the implementation of key tasks, closely following all aspects of the school's activities in training, science and technology development, innovation, development cooperation, investment in facilities, etc.

In the Summary Report on the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Executive Committee in 2023 on developing high-quality scientific products and high-quality policy advice on social sciences and humanities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Thi Cam Lan - Party Committee member, Party cell secretary, Head of the Department of Linguistics said that 100% of the Party cells have developed targets for implementing the Resolution, Action Program and implementation plan; developed specific research products, according to orders for each stage; implemented national policy advice associated with the functions of the Policy Advisory Council; improved the research capacity of lecturers and researchers, increased the participation of students and postgraduates in research and cooperation programs.
In 2023, the University's scientific research and innovation activities will be comprehensive, aiming to serve the community, improve the research capacity of staff and students, and publish internationally in depth, aiming at journals with high impact factors. The University has successfully built the Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy to 2030 to respond to the Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy of VNU.
The school has organized training, fostering and capacity building activities associated with output products such as research projects, research products, and research-oriented development plans of individual lecturers and researchers. The school has selected and invested in 21 key projects, each with 01 article published in a specialized journal. The school's team of scientists has published 15 monographs and textbooks, including 02 monographs published in English; 425 research articles in scientific journals; The school has 90 scientists with international publications, with 74 international publications WosS/Scopus. By June 2023, the School is presiding over and organizing the implementation of 08 component tasks of the Vietnam National Geography set, 03 KX topics of key state-level scientific programs, 01 ministerial-level topic, 11 Nafosted Fund topics, 25 VNU-Hanoi-level topics, and 67 grassroots-level topics.
In 2023, 04 VNU-level research groups and 01 key research center continued to be recognized and invested in. There were more than 39 scientific seminars/conferences (including 28 international seminars), attracting the participation of many domestic and international experts. About 40 professors and researchers from major universities around the world came to lecture, exchange academic knowledge and conduct scientific research, and 12 scientists were trained and fostered for short-term training of 3-6 months abroad.
The school also developed the Regulations on the organization and operation of the Research Ethics Council at VNU-USSH after working with experts from Indiana University (USA).

The reports also provide solutions for organizing the implementation of the Party's Resolutions in the new period. Accordingly, the Party Committee Standing Committee leads the continued implementation of the Resolution, in conjunction with the implementation of the Resolution of the 28th Congress of the Party Committee of the University, regularly monitors and grasps the situation, promptly removes difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing the Resolution. Timely adjusts the contents, activities and solutions so that the Resolution is associated with the development practices of the University, VNU and the superior agencies. The Party Committee Standing Committee reports to the Party Committee to evaluate the implementation of the Resolution in the next period.
The report emphasized that all cadres and party members, especially leaders of party committees, must promote their pioneering role, set an example, improve their leadership capacity and increase the effectiveness of inspection and supervision work from party cells.
Delegates attending the conference discussed and shared experiences in implementing activities on Party member development at grassroots Party cells, experiences in attracting students and developing international publications, etc.

MSc. Le Thi Quyen - Deputy Head of Financial Planning Department shared the difficulties and determination of the Party Committee in implementing the policy of increasing income for staff and lecturers. Summarizing the Conference, Party Secretary Hoang Anh Tuan assessed that the conference frankly exchanged and discussed a number of contents in implementing the Resolution of the Party Executive Committee. Basically, the Party Committee has completed a number of targets set for 2023. In the context of many challenges from the Covid-19 pandemic, the school's staff, lecturers and students have been very creative in teaching and learning.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan said that 2024 will be a year with many challenges and opportunities in the development of the school. In particular, the Party Committee will direct the implementation of activities to improve the quality of training, science and technology, cooperation and development, and prepare facilities for the school's major anniversary activities.
Party Secretary and Principal Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized that 2024 will be a breakthrough year for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in implementing the contents of the Party Committee's Resolution on training activities, science and technology, and human resource development. Party Secretary Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized: "In 2024, the Party Committee needs to look straight, look truly and resolutely implement Resolutions on key issues, such as: Training, science and technology, and staff organization". The Secretary shared concerns about the work of developing and attracting high-quality scientific human resources, affirming that this is a common task of the entire Party Committee of the school, encouraging Party cells to issue strategic resolutions and action programs to implement strongly and effectively.
