Principal Hoang Anh Tuan chaired the school meeting in December 2023
MSc. Nguyen Van Thuy (Head of Administration - General Department) presented a report on the results of the work in November, emphasizing that basically all areas were completed according to the set plan. The school as well as all training units organized a series of activities to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day in a warm, solemn and meaningful manner. At the same time, many activities were successfully organized to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Government's promulgation of the Decree on VNU, typically the School's Vietnamese Speaking Team won the National First Prize. The report also listed a number of key tasks completed in December: organizing a conference to summarize university admissions in 2023 and developing an admissions consulting plan for 2024. Organizing the graduation ceremony for master's and doctoral degrees at the end of 2023; basically completing the repair of some facilities.
Dr. Pham Huy Cuong (Director of the Center for Quality Assurance and Testing) informed about the quality assessment plan in December: On December 21, the University will welcome a Preliminary Survey delegation for 3 training programs assessed according to AUN-QA standards. From now until that day, units with assessed programs need to adjust their self-assessment reports according to the council's comments. Data on feedback from stakeholders (alumni, employers) is a standard and mandatory condition in quality assurance, so we hope that leaders of units will pay attention and complete it soon.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Principal, noted a number of key training tasks that need to be completed in December: Joint training programs are strictly regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training, with a maximum of 25% of credits in the training program (ie about 1 school year), so it is necessary to issue specific guidelines on credit recognition to ensure the rights of students when they participate in study exchange activities abroad, or presentations by visiting professors at the school. In December, focus on completing the enrollment project for 2024, organizing the History and Literature Olympic competition for high school students safely and successfully. It is necessary to strengthen communication work for enrollment activities as well as spread the new policies of the School to a large number of learners (regulations on studying in advance for modules, credit conversion, scholarships to support learning, etc.).
Vice President Dao Thanh Truong suggested that heads of units strengthen communication for science and technology: new policies of VNU, of the University; achievements in scientific research (staff and students), and at the same time focus on successfully organizing the 2024 student science conference in the direction of both attracting a large number of students to participate and discovering and investing appropriately in high-quality research.
Vice Principal Lai Quoc Khanh shared the results of the facility renovation work: completing the renovation of buildings D, E, etc. The project to renovate the facade of building A began at the end of November, and is scheduled to be completed before the Lunar New Year. We hope that the staff and lecturers will cooperate so that the work can be carried out on schedule.
