Principal Hoang Anh Tuan, on behalf of the school's leadership, shared the school's achievements and extended New Year greetings to all retired staff members.
Speaking at the meeting, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan happily shared the outstanding achievements the University had attained in 2023 across all fields. He emphasized that 2023 was a successful year for student recruitment, with the University enrolling over 2,000 students across 27 majors, bringing the total number of students at the university to over 10,000 – the largest ever (including nearly 8,000 undergraduates, over 2,000 graduate students and doctoral candidates, and nearly 1,000 international students and graduate students). Despite fierce competition and the difficulties many educational institutions faced in student recruitment, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities exceeded its enrollment targets in terms of quantity and quality, consistently maintaining and improving the quality of its admissions. Many of the University's majors achieved some of the highest entrance scores nationwide.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, the university admitted 2018 students (K68) for 27 training programs, many of whom had excellent academic achievements and the highest entrance exam scores nationwide.
The school's staff has grown in number and proudly stands as a leading educational institution nationwide, with nearly 80% holding doctoral degrees and 20% holding professorial or associate professorial titles.

In 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was honored to have 2 lecturers appointed to the title of Professor by the State Council for Professor Titles, and 3 lecturers appointed to the title of Associate Professor.
Also in 2023, the University adjusted its entire curriculum towards an integrated, streamlined, and efficient approach, meeting the requirements of the labor market and international integration; and simultaneously launched several new programs: Film and Popular Arts (Bachelor's degree), Religious and Belief Work (Bachelor's degree), Cultural Management (Doctoral degree), etc. To date, most of the university's undergraduate programs have been accredited by the Ministry of Education and Training, many programs have achieved AUN-QA accreditation, and have been highly evaluated by the accreditation council.

Another undergraduate program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has officially received accreditation according to AUN-QA standards: the Anthropology program.
Scientific research, international publications, and development cooperation have also achieved outstanding results, with many successful projects, works, and workshops organized, and many policy recommendations of high scientific and practical value proposed.
Rector Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized: "These achievements are built upon the foundation of the 80-year tradition of the Faculty of Literature and the 30-year tradition of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including the significant contributions of the teachers; the outstanding efforts of the staff, lecturers, students, and trainees of the University. The intellect, health, love for science, and dedication of the teachers to the cause of education are invaluable assets, a solid foundation for current generations of staff to preserve, develop, and elevate the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to new heights."
On the occasion of the upcoming Year of the Dragon, on behalf of the Board of Directors and all staff of the school, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan extends his best wishes for health, success, and happiness to all retired staff members of the school, and expresses his hope that in the future he will always receive the attention, support, sharing, encouragement, and continued cooperation of the teachers in all activities of the school.
Associate Professor Dr. Lam Ba Nam, Chairman of the Association of Retired Faculty Members of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, on behalf of the retired faculty and staff, expressed his emotion and gratitude for the thoughtful and kind welcome from the Board of Directors and staff of the University during the warm and friendly meeting. “Listening to the Rector's sharing, we are truly delighted and proud that the younger generation of staff has continued, developed, and enhanced the leading brand and position of Hanoi University of Humanities domestically and gradually expanded its reach to the region and the world. We are even more delighted and happy that, despite our retirement age, we are still highly valued by the Board of Directors, receiving advice and directly participating in the school's activities; contributing to the overall achievements of the school to which we have dedicated our careers. Every Lunar New Year, despite the extremely busy schedule, the Board of Directors and the Trade Union still organize a cordial gathering for retired staff to meet, chat, reminisce about old times, and update on the school's achievements and new developments. This is a very beautiful cultural tradition, a warm sentiment that generations of Hanoi University of Humanities have always preserved and promoted,” emphasized Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Ba Nam.

Associate Professor Dr. Lam Ba Nam, Chairman of the Association of Retired Teachers, expressed his gratitude for the warm affection the University has shown to its retired staff.
During the gathering, the school's leadership presented gifts to retired staff members celebrating their 80th, 85th, and 90th birthdays, and also wished those over 90 years old a happy birthday.
