The conference reviewed some outstanding work in December and 2024 through a video produced by the Center for Communications and Information Technology and listened to representatives of the Administration - General Department emphasize some key tasks of the work plan for January 2025.
At the Conference, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan presented the decision and flowers to congratulate Dr. Duong Tat Thanh on holding the position of Secretary of the School's Youth Union for the 2024-2027 term.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized a number of key tasks of training in January 2025: the Training Department and related departments will review and complete the regular university admission project on the basis of ensuring harmony and balance between the combinations and suitability, adaptability to changes in the high school curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training. Organize meetings, discuss and propose solutions and apply them immediately in the second semester (2024-2025 school year) so that the management of postgraduate training will gradually become systematic, professional and regularized. Units that adjust/open new/separate training programs need to promptly complete the documents to send to the general training department and submit to the Board of Directors for consideration before submitting to VNU for approval.

Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong noted: The High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities should enhance its initiative in building self-assessment reports, preparing for quality accreditation, and moving towards autonomy.
Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh shared: The school has issued Guidelines on building strong research groups to promote the formation and development of strong research groups at the school level; at the same time, adjusting the regulations on supporting international publications in the direction of supporting the development and improvement of research capacity and international publications for lecturers. It is recommended that heads of units widely inform all staff and lecturers so that they can grasp and make the best use of this support policy.
Renovation and repair work is being thoroughly carried out and will be completed before Lunar New Year. Phase 2 of the Wifi system has basically completed covering all office buildings at 336 Nguyen Trai with fast and stable access speed.
Regarding financial work, MSc. Kim Thi Diep Ha (Head of Planning and Finance Department) fully informed the leaders of the units about the conclusion of the State Treasury Inspectorate on the 2023 budget revenue/expenditure situation of the University (issued on December 14, 2024), at the same time, the heads of the units urged and reminded the settlement officers to submit payment documents and vouchers to the Planning and Finance Department before January 19, 2025.
Dr. Pham Hoang Hung (Head of Cooperation and Development Department) informed about the meeting and exchange event with successful alumni scheduled to be held on January 15, 2025; receiving the delegation from Peking University to work and discuss cooperation content in 2025 on January 19. We respectfully request that relevant units actively prepare content and coordinate so that the event takes place successfully and effectively.
At the first school-wide meeting of 2025, Party Secretary and Principal Hoang Anh Tuan shared about the outstanding results and achievements not only in 2025 but also in the 5-year period of the 2020-2025 Term, emphasizing that the major tasks set for the entire Term and 2024 have been basically completed, with 30/33 targets achieved and exceeded the set plan. The results achieved are reflected in all activities, specifically as follows:

Organization - staff: The apparatus is fully consolidated with 03 institutions: Party Committee - Board of Directors - School Council, ensuring the development of the School. Level 2 units, especially training units, are stable and developing.
Continuously developing the team, training and fostering human resources for leadership and management; the teaching staff is increasingly increasing in quantity and improving in quality with 21% having the title of Professor/Associate Professor, 81% having PhD degree; the administrative staff is increasingly "professional - friendly - effective"; attracting more high-quality human resources from outside to work at the School with 03 Associate Professors and 09 PhDs. This is an extremely important premise and resource to move towards the upcoming journey with many challenges, especially the pressure of the autonomy mechanism.

Training: Strongly restructure training programs, especially at the Master's and PhD levels, open new training programs, ensure harmony between academic and applied aspects, adapt and better meet the needs of the labor market. Inspection and evaluation work is increasingly strict, objective, transparent, and innovate postgraduate training in the direction of increasing professionalism, formalization, and centralized management.

Scientific research: Scientific activities have increased evenly in all fields, with highlights in some sectors/interdisciplinary areas; The number of international and national publications has increased steadily over the years. Expanding cooperation and presiding over research projects to advise on local development policies.

Financial work: achieved many remarkable results in the difficult context of the Covid-19 pandemic and the post-Covid economic recession, with the budget being continuously cut. The school's revenue and expenditure have been implemented in accordance with the principles: spending correctly, spending enough, strictly complying with all State regulations; investing directly in people and human resources. The income of staff is increasing.
