Vietnam Youth Union Central Committee awarded prizes for the contest "The book page changed my life"

This morning, December 23, 2024, the award ceremony of the writing contest "The book page changed my life" and the contest "Video clip with the theme of Vietnamese History in 2024" was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The contest is organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in coordination with other units.
Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Youth Solidarity Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union said that implementing the plan of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union on organizing the program "Each youth has a book as a friend" in 2024; the writing contest "A book page changed my life" and the contest "Video clip with the theme of Vietnamese History" in 2024.
The contest is open to Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad. Authors and groups of authors will share interesting pages in books that are meaningful and change the perceptions and lives of the contestants.

After launching the contest, from March 27 to November 30, 2024, the standing unit received more than 291 articles and more than 100 video clips from individuals from provinces and cities participating in the contest.
The Jury has selected outstanding works to award prizes, including: 01 First Prize, 01 Second Prize, 01 Third Prize, 05 Encouragement Prizes, 01 prize for the entry receiving the most votes on social networks.
The winning authors were awarded valuable prizes from the contest.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi attended the award ceremony.
Ms. Pham Thi Huong Thom - General Director of IMC Mineral Investment Joint Stock Company (sponsor) spoke at the award ceremony.

At the award ceremony, there was a discussion about good books with the participation of experts in the fields of psychology and medicine, providing students with a lot of information about good books that inspire readers, especially young readers, including the book "The world of hungry ghosts" published by San Ho Books.
Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thu Huong, Faculty of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, and speakers interacted with students about building reading habits among young people, spreading passion, inspiration, and creating awareness about reading for young people and students.
The writing contest "A book page changed my life" and the contest "Video clip with the theme of Vietnamese History" in 2024 are part of the program "Each youth has a book as a friend" in 2024 implemented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union. The program aims to continue to help young people, students, and pupils better understand the meaning and importance of reading; reading methods, helping them access knowledge, skills, and experiences from books more quickly, so that each young person will choose books to accompany them on the path to the future. with many practical and meaningful contents, aiming to raise awareness of members and young people about the value of reading; at the same time, build and develop reading habits and skills among young people.
