The Congress was attended by representatives from the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, the Party Committee Office of the university, representatives from the Party branches within the university; and the members of the Party Committee and all Party members of the Psychology Department's Party branch.
Comrade Trinh Thi Linh - Secretary of the Party Branch of the Psychology Department, representing the Party Committee, presented the Political Report of the Party Committee for the term 2022-2025 and the leadership direction of the Party Branch for the term 2025-2027.

The Party Cell of the Faculty of Psychology has a total of 23 Party members, including 18 full members and 5 probationary members; 14 members are staff, and 9 members are doctoral candidates and students (as of February 2025). During the 2022-2025 term, the Party Cell strengthened its leadership role in building the Faculty of Psychology into one of the prestigious institutions for training, research, and application of psychology in Vietnam; affirming its position domestically and regionally, and making a significant contribution to the university's development orientation towards becoming a research university. It promoted the improvement of training quality, innovation in teaching content and methods in the context of globalization and the technological revolution; improved the quality of scientific research and publications domestically and internationally; and strengthened the application of knowledge, skills, and scientific research results to social practice.
In addition, the Report also points out existing shortcomings and lessons learned; and at the same time identifies the direction, goals, and tasks for the 2025-2027 term.
Comrade Nguyen Van Luot - Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch - read the Party Branch Committee's self-assessment report.
Comrade Tran Ha Thu - Chairperson of the Trade Union - presented a summary report of opinions on the draft documents submitted to the Congress and the documents of the Party Congress of the School.
The Congress listened to the Party Committee's self-assessment report; the summary report of opinions on the draft documents submitted to the Congress and the documents of the University Party Committee Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Delegates attending the Congress discussed and contributed many opinions to the political reports; held a secret ballot and unanimously elected the Party Committee for the 2025-2027 term; elected 8 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to the University Party Committee Congress; and adopted the Congress Resolution. Accordingly, the Psychology Faculty Party Committee for the 2025-2027 term includes the following comrades: Comrade Trinh Thi Linh as Secretary of the Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Van Luot as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; and Comrade Tran Ha Thu as a Party Committee member.
The congress proceeded to elect the Party Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch by secret ballot.
The contents of the Congress received high consensus and agreement from the delegates in attendance.
The Party Committee of the Faculty of Psychology for the term 2025-2027 was introduced at the Congress.
Speaking to congratulate the success of the Congress, Comrade Bui Thanh Nam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, emphasized that the Party Branch Congress of the Psychology Department demonstrated high unity and consensus within the Party Branch as well as among the faculty, staff, and students of the Department. The opinions exchanged and discussed at the Congress reflected a democratic spirit, frankly contributing to the development and sustainable growth of the Department in the next phase. The Standing Committee of the Party Committee highly appreciated the thorough and proper preparation of the Congress by the Party Branch, including all the necessary documents and content.
With a high-quality staff including 8 Associate Professors and 16 PhDs, and training programs from bachelor's to master's and doctoral levels attracting significant attention from society and students, the Faculty of Psychology has affirmed its position as a leading unit in training and research activities of the university. The development of the Faculty over the past years is a proud result of the unity, consensus, and solidarity of the Party Committee, leadership, staff, lecturers, and students in implementing key tasks and contributing to the overall development of the university.
Comrade Bui Thanh Nam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, delivered a speech at the Congress.
Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Bui Thanh Nam expressed his hope that this spirit would spread throughout the university, and that the success of the Psychology Faculty Party Branch Congress would serve as a model, a benchmark to be replicated throughout the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi.
In addition, Comrade Bui Thanh Nam also emphasized that, based on its existing strengths, the Faculty of Psychology will continue to promote Party development and professional activities such as: increasing international scientific publications, focusing on opening new academic programs, and internationalizing training programs to attract students.
The Party Branch Congress of the Faculty of Psychology was successfully held, contributing to affirming the spirit of unity and high consensus throughout the university, towards the Party Congress of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the 2025-2030 term.
