Outstanding achievements in training and nurturing gifted students at the Specialized School of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Among the 49 students who won awards:
The English team: Outstandingly won 18 awards, including 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 8 Third Prizes, and 8 Consolation Prizes;
Literature Team: Won 14 awards, including 5 second prizes, 5 third prizes, and 4 consolation prizes;
History Team: Won 11 awards, including 1 second prize, 3 third prizes, and 7 consolation prizes;
Geography Team: Won 6 awards, including 1 second prize, 2 third prizes, and 3 consolation prizes.
Notably, among the 49 award-winning students, many 10th-grade students demonstrated outstanding talent. Notable examples include: Nguyen Thanh Truc (10th grade Geography): First prize in English; and Nguyen Quang Anh (10th grade Literature 3): Second prize in Literature.
Some students from specialized Literature and Geography classes also won high awards in English, despite having to compete with students from the English teams of top specialized high schools nationwide, demonstrating their all-round academic abilities.
This achievement is primarily due to the students' own efforts and dedication, the guidance, training, encouragement, and motivation from experienced teachers, and the support and assistance from their families. At the same time, it once again demonstrates the correctness and effectiveness of the educational approach that emphasizes a combination of comprehensive and specialized training; fostering specialized subjects alongside enhancing students' foreign language and information technology skills.
The send-off ceremony for the teams received attention and encouragement from the School Board and the Parent-Teacher Association.

University of Social Sciences and Humanities: One of the units that successfully hosted the Vietnam National University Hanoi Olympic Examination.
On October 27, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) successfully hosted the Vietnam National University, Hanoi High School Olympiad for Literature and History. This was the third consecutive year that VNU-USSH successfully hosted and organized this competition, attracting the participation of 437 students from 58 high schools nationwide, not only from Hanoi and neighboring provinces, but also from remote areas such as An Giang and Dien Bien.
The History Olympic team of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities
Students from provinces and cities across the country enthusiastically and confidently participated in the High School Literature and History Olympiad held at VNU-USSH on October 27th.
The High School Olympiad organized by Hanoi National University is an opportunity to discover and nurture talented students, while simultaneously improving the quality of teaching and learning at the high school level. Through this competition, students not only have the opportunity to practice and familiarize themselves with the types of questions in the gifted student competition but also better prepare for the national gifted student competition. Furthermore, the competition contributes to promoting cooperation in training between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular, and Hanoi National University in general, with high schools in the region and universities nationwide, creating a beneficial and meaningful academic platform for students.
Students who win prizes in the VNU Olympic competition have the opportunity to pursue advanced university studies through the Hanoi National University's Talent Incubation Program from the high school level. They are given priority in admission to member universities, schools, and faculties of Hanoi National University according to the University's admission regulations and other regulations. Students who win prizes in their high school years but have not yet graduated will have their results reserved until the end of grade 12.
The achievements of the team from the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities are not only a source of pride for the teachers and students of the school but also affirm the quality of comprehensive education, contributing to the successful implementation of the strategy to build the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities into a leading public educational institution in identifying and nurturing talented students and creating a source of social science and humanities talent for the country; developing the abilities and passions of each student, based on ensuring comprehensive education in culture, ethics, intellect, aesthetics, basic skills, and especially the education of compassion in life.
