This is the message sent by the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) to students at the Dialogue program between school leaders and students in 2024 held on December 26, 2024.
The program was attended by representatives of the Board of Directors, leaders of Faculties/Institutes/Departments, functional departments, Youth Union, Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; representatives of the National Defense Education Center, the Center for Physical Education and Sports of VNU, Me Tri Dormitory, and VNU Hospital.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, said that in recent years, the school has made many innovations in supporting and interacting with students. Dialogue forums between the school and students not only take place at the annual dialogue program but are also implemented weekly through information exchange activities of the Training Department, the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, helping the training and care of students to have timely adjustments to support them during their studies at the school.
"Teachers always want to listen to students' voices to find the best ways and solutions to support students" - Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized.

The school received nearly 90 questions from online channels and many questions from students and trainees who exchanged directly at the dialogue session. Many issues were directly related to the learning and research activities of students in all majors and training systems of the school, such as: the policy of exempting national defense and security education credits for some students, organizing physical education credits at Hoa Lac; issues related to tuition fees, recognition of foreign language credits, dual degree study, transfer of majors in the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, graduation conditions, student scientific research, international student exchange, etc.

According to MSc. Nguyen Van Thuy - Head of the General Administration Department, the school's facilities at 336 Nguyen Trai currently ensure the number of classrooms for students of the whole school. The school annually supplements and replaces learning equipment to create the best learning environment for students. The General Administration Department receives information about damage and promptly provides equipment for lecture halls. With an area of ​​1.46 hectares, the school dedicates most of the area to lecture halls and common facilities for students and lecturers.
Master Nguyen Van Thuy advised that students and lecturers should use electricity sparingly, remember to turn off electrical equipment after class and preserve equipment to build a safe, green - clean - beautiful school environment.

Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu - Deputy Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs shared that the school has many forms of scholarships for students, including scholarships from the budget and scholarships outside the budget from benefactors, organizations, and businesses at home and abroad.
There are a variety of non-budgetary scholarships with high values ​​ranging from 2.5 million to 25 million VND/student, including IMG scholarships worth up to 150 million VND/student. The school regularly posts information to all students on the school's official channels such as website, facebook and through academic advisors of training units.
The school regularly organizes Job Fairs with workshops to support students in equipping personal skills, consulting from experts and reputable employers, connecting students with thousands of job opportunities from domestic and international agencies, organizations and businesses. In addition, the school coordinates with partners to build a job portal, which is constantly updated with job information for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In addition, internship and practical activities for students are widely open not only to domestic businesses and universities but also abroad. In 2023, the school supported more than 100 students to exchange and do internships abroad.
The assessment of students' training scores and health insurance policies for students are supported to be resolved transparently, quickly and promptly. Speaking at the dialogue, the school representative said that the rate of students graduating early increased by 40%, the rate of students violating discipline decreased by ¼ compared to the same period in 2023; the rate of students studying for a second degree doubled... These are encouraging numbers of the school in the past year, proving that the work of caring for, supporting, and accompanying students has brought about effectiveness and good values ​​for students.
The school strengthens connections and cooperation with many universities in the country, in the region and in many developed countries to bring credit exchange opportunities for students. With most of the school's training programs having completed domestic and international quality accreditation, students of majors with a Good degree or higher will be able to continuously study for a master's degree at VNU-USSH.
