Creating an effective working and learning environment for both teachers and students.
The training conference was attended by leaders from the Training Department, the Student Affairs Department, and leaders and training assistants, as well as student affairs assistants from faculties/institutes/departments. The conference aimed to provide professional training for training assistants and student affairs assistants, and to implement training and student care activities for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Highly appreciating the role of lecturers working as training assistants and student affairs assistants in faculties/institutes/departments, Mr. Pham Van Hue, Deputy Head of the Training Department, emphasized that lecturers play an extremely important role in supporting the school to achieve its training and educational goals. Lecturers are the bridge between the school and faculty and students, contributing to creating an effective working and learning environment for both teachers and students.
At the conference, Mr. Pham Van Hue, Deputy Head of the Training Department, shared the latest information on enrollment and training activities to support the equipping of teaching assistants and student affairs assistants in faculties/institutes/departments with the latest knowledge and skills to help them successfully complete their assigned tasks. Accordingly, in addition to regular undergraduate enrollment, the university is implementing enrollment for the VNU 12+ program and second major programs. Teaching assistants in faculties/institutes/departments will coordinate with the Training Department to develop study schedules for students, create timetables, invite lecturers, especially for courses taught in economic and technical standards, and coordinate teaching for units within VNU, especially courses in Political Theory…
The conference also provided a wealth of information directly related to training activities at the faculties/institutes/departments, such as online teaching and learning, special attention to students who are falling behind, guidance on registering for graduation theses and equivalent courses, conditions and procedures for registering for pre-master's programs, assessment and semester exams, recognition of learning outcomes and credit transfer, disciplinary action against students violating exam regulations, tuition fees, special policies for basic science majors, etc. Notably, the training department conducted online Q&A sessions on training activities for students twice a month, which received a positive response from students.
In addition, the representative of the Training Department emphasized that they will create the best conditions for lecturers in their teaching activities as well as in the payment of teaching fees.
The university has many support policies for VNU-USSH students.This was affirmed by Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu, Deputy Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, at the conference. With the motto "professional - friendly - effective," the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, in coordination with functional departments/centers and faculties/institutes/departments throughout the university, has implemented many activities aimed at bringing the best possible value to students.

Policies regarding scholarships, regulations, student performance evaluation, health insurance guidelines, rewards and disciplinary actions, student record management, management of students under agreements, answering questions, support, counseling, and student care... have been implemented comprehensively throughout the university. In particular, in addition to the university's scholarship fund, which is derived from 8% of tuition fees, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has received numerous scholarships from individuals, organizations, and businesses (Aeon, SHB, Danko, KT, Lotte, KBSV, Vingroup, Kova, KFHI, Shinnyo, IMG, Yamada, Anex, Ponychung, Dinh Thien Ly, Mitsubishi, Posco…) to encourage students to study and train well at VNU-USSH. The school also implements many policies such as tuition fee waivers, 50-70% tuition fee reductions, support for students' medical care, support for students in developing soft skills, and job placement assistance…
The Job Portal is one of the applications of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, aimed at supporting students in acquiring soft skills and finding job opportunities.
The conference also serves as a forum for faculty leaders, faculty members in charge of training, and student affairs assistants in faculties/institutes/departments to exchange and share experiences on effective working methods, improve work quality, and contribute to the best possible care for teachers and students.
Highly appreciating the close attention of the functional departments in implementing training and student care activities, Dr. Vu Huong Lan - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies shared that student support and care activities at the Faculty are given priority and are carried out in smooth coordination with relevant units.
