The Digital Skills to Succeed (DS2S) project is a regional project implemented in three countries, Vietnam, India and Bangladesh, implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project aims to improve the digital skills of university students and lecturers by promoting cooperation between universities in the region as well as with universities in Germany, thereby building short-term digital skills training programs.
The project's objectives are:
- Develop short-term programs related to digital competencies including 03 areas: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data and Digital Entrepreneurship
- Enhance professional capacity of lecturers of relevant universities/faculties
- Establishing a network of universities and research organizations within and between the project participating countries, including connections between Vietnamese and German universities
To ensure effective implementation of the project, GIZ conducted an initial assessment and identified a number of universities interested in the overall project objectives and approach. In order to share details of the planned activities and discuss ways of future collaboration between the project participants, GIZ, in collaboration with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, co-organized a consultation meeting with universities in Hanoi.
Attending this consultation conference were representatives from the National Economics University, the National Academy of Public Administration, the Women's Academy and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, with the following objectives:

- Unify the methods and mechanisms of coordination between schools in this project.
The schools attending the Consultation Conference had frank discussions about the current state of digital competence of students and lecturers, and at the same time made proposals on the needs of the schools for GIZ to support.
