At the reception, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan welcomed Mr. Kushida Koji and professors from Dong A University to visit the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a pioneer and leading university in training and research in social sciences, with 17 faculties/institutes, 3 research centers and 01 research institute under the university. Currently, VNU-USSH is a partner of many universities, organizations and international enterprises. In the trend of modernization and international integration, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has been training many applied-oriented majors, while maintaining and promoting the strengths of traditional science majors.

358th AUN-QA accreditation programfor the training programs of 03 training programs, bringing the total number of training programs that have been accredited by AUN-QA to 12. According to Times Higher Education announced in October 2023 on the ranking by field - World University Ranking by Subjects 2024 (THE WUR by Subjects 2024): The Social Sciences field of VNU increased its ranking to the top 501 - 600 in the world. With the mission of being a pioneer in training high-quality, highly qualified human resources; researching, creating and disseminating knowledge about social sciences and humanities, over nearly 80 years of history, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi has affirmed its leading position in research and training in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam, making an important contribution to the world rankings of VNU in this field.

In particular, the school is one of the few training institutions in the country that offers training in Archaeology. With the history of research and similarities in training styles between the two countries and the concern for preserving historical values, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan believes that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Dong A University will have many cooperations in cultural heritage research, international publishing as well as staff and student exchanges in the future.

Mr. Kushida Koji - President of Dong A University shared: Dong A University is one of the prestigious research and academic institutions in East Asia, established in 1974 with two pillars: human education and practical education. In recent years, the school has been developing educational programs that meet the needs of the times by combining both local and international characteristics. Currently, there are 73 Vietnamese students studying at Dong A University.
In addition to 23 majors in 7 departments, belonging to 3 faculties: Faculty of Human Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Arts, as well as master's and doctoral programs, Dong A University also organizes online master's training classes for a wide range of subjects, mainly for work-study.
Mr. Kushida Koji believes that 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, a golden time for the two sides to embark on a new journey together.
With a diverse combination of research directions, a team of professionally trained and qualified staff, the cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Dong A University will make practical contributions to society and the process of preserving the cultural heritages of the two countries. In the future, the two training institutions will research and organize seminars and workshops, promoting deeper international understanding through identifying shortcomings and finding common solutions for sustainable development.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the two universities, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Dong A, signed a cooperation document with three main contents, specifically:
- Exchange of staff between the two training institutions, and at the same time combine student exchange.
- Joint research and international publication.
- Co-organize seminars on social and human topics.
