On February 7, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University chaired a working session with the Working Group of the National Political Publishing House Truth, led by Ms. Pham Thi Thinh, Deputy Director - Deputy Editor-in-Chief. Also attending the meeting were representatives of the leaders of the departments: Cooperation and Development, Training, Science Management, Politics and Student Affairs; training units: Political Science, History, Philosophy, Institute of Journalism and Communication Training.
Overview of the working session
In his opening speech, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized: The school is very excited to welcome the Publishing House Delegation to visit and propose signing a bilateral cooperation document at the beginning of the new year. The National Political Publishing House is a central agency, one of the leading publishing units, playing an important role in the system of publishing units nationwide, with the task of publishing publications on theory, politics, legal state, and propagating the Party and State's policies to Party members and the entire Party and people. The book categories published by the Publishing House are all of great value, important reference materials for all training units of the School. At the same time, the training majors and research fields of the School are also very suitable for the Publishing House to support and cooperate in publishing. In particular, the National Political Publishing House is the only publishing house in the country with the function of scientific research. This is also one of the strengths of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Therefore, the room for cooperation between the two units is huge.

On behalf of the leaders of the National Political Publishing House, Ms. Pham Thi Thinh thanked the School for giving the delegation a warm welcome. She shared: in the past time, the cooperation activities at the level of professional training units, individual scientists and lecturers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have been very close and good: Many scientists and lecturers of the School have participated in the book appraisal council, contributing to improving the quality of books for the Publishing House; participating in seminars, exchanging with readers on specialized topics organized by the Publishing House. Many books sent by lecturers and scientists to the Publishing House are publications of high scientific value. In addition, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also regularly accompanies the Publishing House in training staff, helping staff improve their expertise and improve their political theory. Students who have studied and are studying at the School, when working at the Publishing House, are all editors with solid expertise and broad knowledge; Have strong political will and sense of responsibility, dedicated to the profession.
Ms. Pham Thi Thinh (Deputy Director - Deputy Editor-in-Chief) shared the main activities of the Publishing House and the content that the two units can cooperate on.
Based on sharing the core activities of the Publishing House, Ms. Pham Thi Thinh also proposed some contents that the two sides can cooperate effectively, including: publishing textbooks, publishing theses and dissertations of students, research results of topics of lecturers; posting articles in the Publishing House's journal and the school's Social Sciences and Humanities journal; organizing seminars and scientific discussions on some specialized topics related to politics, culture, science, journalism, and media; translating and editing books; receiving students for internships at the Publishing House...
The delegates had a very lively and open exchange and proposed more ideas that the two sides could cooperate on in the future, including: organizing book introduction sessions; scientific seminars inviting researchers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, editors of the Publishing House to participate in writing articles; coordinating the production of paper books, e-books, multimedia communications, etc.
Representatives of training units of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; functional departments of the Publishing House shared specific cooperation contents in publishing, scientific research, practical internships, and employment.
Also within the framework of the working session, the National Political Publishing House Truth presented the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with 02 bookcases:

Bookcase Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and styleand e-book account to access free use of books in these 2 bookcases.
Principal Hoang Anh Tuan, on behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and students of the School, received 02 bookcases donated by the National Political Publishing House Truth.
On behalf of the School Board, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan once again thanked the National Political Publishing House Truth for its attention and favor to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The books that the Publishing House donated are valuable documents, the School highly appreciates and will introduce them to a large number of staff, lecturers, students, trainees, and postgraduates for reference and use. During the meeting, representatives of both sides exchanged and suggested many very good cooperation ideas, which are an important basis for both sides to build a specific action plan in the coming time.
