Vietnamese – Bulgarian Dictionary – a cooperation project between the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will be launched in early April 2023

Speaking at the reception, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude for the attention and support of the Ambassador and the Bulgarian Embassy in Vietnam for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH). Through the connecting role of the Embassy, ​​many exchange and cooperation activities in training and scientific research between the University and Bulgarian universities have been successfully implemented, bringing practical results to lecturers and students and promoting the culture and history of the two countries. In particular, the cooperation in the project of compiling, supplementing and publishing the Vietnamese - Bulgarian Dictionary, it is an honor that many lecturers and staff of the University have had the opportunity to participate and contribute to the success of this project.
Ms. Marinela Ketkova was pleased to inform the School's leaders about the results of the project to compile and publish the Vietnamese - Bulgarian Dictionary, according to the sponsorship agreement signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria (authorized through the Bulgarian Embassy in Vietnam) and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, which was completed by September 2022. On behalf of the Embassy, ​​Ms. Marinela Ketkova thanked the extremely effective and close cooperation from the Board of Directors and language experts of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Bulgarian Embassy proposed that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities coordinate with the Embassy to organize the launching ceremony of the Dictionary on April 12 and a seminar to introduce the meaning, value and implementation process of the compilation of the Dictionary as well as some projects on language, culture and history that the two sides can cooperate on in the near future. The school can invite the Vietnam - Bulgaria Friendship Association, alumni who studied in Bulgaria, scholars and researchers who participated in compiling the Dictionary of Veliko Tarnovo University (Bulgari) to attend this event. It is expected that in mid-May 2023, there will be a launching ceremony of the Dictionary in Bulgaria. The Ambassador would like to invite representatives of the school's Board of Directors and lecturers of the Faculty of Languages ​​who compiled the Dictionary to arrange to attend. At the end of the meeting, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan once again thanked the Ambassador for visiting the school, and congratulated the cooperation results between the two units in the Project of compiling extremely useful and valuable reference materials for lecturers, students, researchers, and citizens of Vietnam and Bulgaria. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan hopes that in the coming time, the Bulgarian Embassy and the Ambassador herself will continue to pay attention, support, and connect to further promote the cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and universities in Bulgaria in student and lecturer exchange activities, organizing short-term courses on languages ​​and cultures of the two countries, organizing scientific seminars and conferences, building research projects, etc.
