Methods of teaching Vietnamese to foreigners"For lecturers of Cuu Long University, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities shared that, based on the responsibility and mission of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has implemented many projects to implement the major policies of the Party and Government on preserving and promoting cultural values, traditions and national languages, including training and fostering Vietnamese language teaching methods for overseas Vietnamese. The school has been trusted by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be selected as a professional unit to organize annual training.

Over the past years, there have been many effective cooperation activities in training and research between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Cuu Long University, especially in implementing the training course "Methods of teaching Vietnamese to foreigners".

Expressing gratitude for the precious affection and companionship of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung - Vice President of Cuu Long University recalled the first training course organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in cooperation with Cuu Long University in 2005. And since then, the two units have had friendly and practical cooperation activities. The achievements in Vietnamese language training activities of Cuu Long University have great contributions from VNU-USSH.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung also expressed his hope that the two universities will continue to have practical and effective cooperation and support activities to improve the quality of the school's teaching staff in Vietnamese language training for foreigners.

Training course on Vietnamese teaching methods for foreigners by
Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language,The University of Social Sciences and Humanities directly implemented the program for lecturers of Cuu Long University from September to December 2024 with 32 students.
The training course aims to provide learners with basic knowledge of Vietnamese phonetics, vocabulary, and grammar; train learners in methods of teaching Vietnamese phonetics, vocabulary, and grammar and methods of teaching Vietnamese listening - speaking - reading - writing skills; operations of preparing lessons, designing lectures, designing language programs (can integrate culture), designing exercises to correct errors of foreigners.
Students receive certificates after 2 months of studying the training course "Methods of teaching Vietnamese to foreigners"
