The seminar aims to equip students, postgraduate researchers, and young lecturers with the necessary knowledge and skills for conducting research and publishing scientific articles in reputable specialized journals, contributing to improving the quality of training and scientific research at the University.
In his opening remarks, the representative of the Faculty of Linguistics emphasized: "Publishing scientific papers is not only a mandatory requirement in postgraduate training, but also an opportunity for students and researchers to affirm their research capabilities, expand academic connections, and contribute to the overall development of the field of linguistics in particular and academic development in general, especially in the context of current educational integration and internationalization."
Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh – Head of the Department of Linguistics, delivered the opening remarks.
At the seminar, speakers who are lecturers and researchers with extensive experience in scientific publications both domestically and internationally shared practical content revolving around issues such as:
- Skills in selecting topics and structuring scientific papers;
- Differentiate between the requirements and presentation formats of domestic and international journals;
- Experience in writing summaries, placing keywords, and citing references correctly;
- The process for submitting articles, handling peer reviews, and making revisions;
- Introduction to the system of reputable journals and indicators for evaluating the quality of scientific articles (ISSN, Scopus, WoS, etc.);
- Some notes on research ethics, avoiding plagiarism and duplicate publications.

In addition to the professional presentations, the seminar also included time for open discussion, allowing participants to ask questions and share practical difficulties encountered during the writing and submission process. The speakers provided detailed answers, creating a lively atmosphere and suggesting many interesting research directions. Many practical questions were raised and satisfactorily answered, demonstrating the deep interest and desire for learning from the students and young lecturers.
The seminar took place in a serious and open academic atmosphere, attracting a large number of postgraduate students, researchers, and faculty members from within and outside the Faculty. This is a practical and meaningful activity that contributes to improving scientific publication capacity and promoting a research culture within the university's academic community.
