The launching ceremony was held by the City Party Committee and People's Committee of Cam Pha City on April 22, 2025 in Cam Pha City (Quang Ninh), on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 25, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Mining Region (April 25, 1955 - April 24, 2025).
Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Quan - Faculty of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Mr. Pham Le Hung - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; leaders of departments and units under the city.

The book was launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 25, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Mining Region (April 25, 1955 - April 24, 2025).
The book “Cam Pha - Land and People” published by the Truth National Political Publishing House is a product of the City-level Science and Technology Project chaired by Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan; Associate Prof. Dr. Vu Van Quan, Dr. Nguyen Van Anh co-editors. More than 20 scientists in the fields of Natural Geography, History, Culture and Heritage from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Science also participated in the compilation. The book is 959 pages thick, consisting of 10 chapters divided into 3 parts: Part I: Natural Geography, Population, Administration; Part II: History and Part III: Culture. In addition to the hard copy, there is also an electronic version posted on the city's digital platforms, allowing readers to easily access and read.
The book is the most complete and comprehensive synthesis of Cam Pha city. It is an important document for research and study of the natural conditions, population, history and culture of the city. Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized that even in the near future, when the abolition of district-level administrative units is implemented, the book is still an important document for studying the cultural history and potential advantages of localities that are currently under the administrative jurisdiction of Cam Pha city.
