In her opening remarks at the science summer camp, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector, in charge of the Institute for Policy and Management (IPAM),University of Social Sciences and HumanitiesIt is predicted that Vietnam is one of the five economies most affected by climate change. Therefore, green growth is a global trend and an inevitable path to development for Vietnam.
Vietnam's strong commitment to the international community to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 is of crucial importance and utmost urgency in the current context.
Therefore, this year's summer camp theme emphasizes Net Zero as an affirmation of the role of each individual, especially the younger generation, in changing perceptions, mindsets, and behaviors to work together for a Green Vietnam, a truly Net Zero Vietnam in the near future.
"Therefore, we sincerely hope that the participants of this year's summer camp will be key figures in connecting and spreading the humanitarian values of this project," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized.



Participating in the summer camp, students have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, hone their scientific research skills, and gain practical experience through thematic workshops and teamwork activities, with content such as: nature-based development and socio-ecological transition issues; carbon market development; the golden key to sustainable development…
The summer camp will take place over 6 days (from September 4th to 10th) to stimulate students' passion for research on socio-ecological transformation, climate change, and green development linked to the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to net zero. In particular, the summer camp will also support students' research ideas on sustainable development in Vietnam.
