Speaking at the opening ceremony of the science summer camp, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal, in charge of the Institute of Policy and Management (IPAM),University of Social Sciences and HumanitiesVietnam is predicted to be one of the five economies most affected by climate change. Therefore, green growth is a global trend and an inevitable development path for Vietnam.
Vietnam's strong commitment to the international community on the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero (Net Zero) by 2050 is of great significance and urgency in the current context.
Therefore, this year's summer camp theme emphasizes Net Zero as an affirmation of the role of each individual, especially the young generation, in changing awareness, thinking and behavior to join hands for a Green Vietnam, a truly Net Zero Vietnam in the near future.
"Therefore, we really hope that the students of this year's summer camp will be the core to connect and spread the humanistic meanings of this project," Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized.
Participating in the summer camp, students have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, improve scientific research skills and gain practical experience through topics and teamwork activities, with contents such as: nature-based development and the issue of ecological - social transition; carbon market development; the golden key to sustainable development...
The summer camp will take place over 6 days (from September 4 to 10) to stimulate students' passion for research on the topics of ecological and social transition, climate change, green development associated with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 0 (Net Zero). In particular, the summer camp also supports students' research ideas on sustainable development issues in Vietnam.
