UniReport magazine of the University of Frankfurt (Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main), Federal Republic of Germany (issued on October 12, 2012) commented highly on the visit and work of Professor and Principal Nguyen Van Khanh, and at the same time expressed expectations for the prospects of cooperation and training between the two schools in the future.

On December 22, 2012, the Faculty of Management - University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Hue University organized a scientific seminar with the topic "Improving the curriculum and experimental teaching of the subject of Intellectual Property in universities and colleges in the field of educational sciences".

“International Cultural Festival” is an annual festival of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language. This is an opportunity for students to introduce to friends from other countries the traditional culture of their country, exchange and learn, strengthen friendship and solidarity between countries.

On December 20, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized an international conference “The Rule of Law State: Some theoretical and practical issues”. Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu – Vice Rector of the University – attended and delivered the opening speech of the conference.

On December 18, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a dialogue program between school leaders and students of the 2012-2013 school year.

On August 30, 2012, the Director of Hanoi National University signed Decision No. 2880/QD-KHTC agreeing to allow the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to liquidate a 16-seat Toyota car with license plate 31A-4514. The school will auction this car to groups and individuals inside and outside the school.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) announced the list of qualified candidates for the 2012 civil servant recruitment exam.

On December 15, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the 2012 Postgraduate Training Conference. The conference aimed to evaluate postgraduate training in 2011-2012, set out directions and tasks for the 2012-2013 school year, and clearly state key solutions to improve the quality of postgraduate training.

On the afternoon of December 5, 2012, 40 certificates and 22 diplomas were awarded to students at the closing ceremony of the short-term course on Religion and Rule of Law, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On December 14, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with Gakushuin University (Japan) and Myongji University (Korea) organized an international scientific conference with the theme "Organizing and promoting the value of people's archives".
