On the morning of March 17, 2012, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc (Director of the Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Sciences - VNU) gave a presentation on the topic "Vietnam's sovereignty over the archipelagos in the East Sea". This presentation is part of the regular scientific program organized by the Center for Intercultural History of the Faculty of History.

On March 14, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a meeting to congratulate teachers who received the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize for Science and Technology in 2012.
