University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

Based on the academic and training results of the second semester of the 2010-2011 school year, the School anticipates the list of students from the QH-2008-X, QH-2009-X, and QH-2010-X cohorts who will receive scholarships and social assistance in the first semester of the 2011-2012 school year.

A scientific conference on the theme "Culture of Quality in Universities" was held on October 20th. Attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Vice Rector of the University, scientists, administrators, and representatives from universities nationwide.

The Faculty of Journalism and Communication (University of Social Sciences and Humanities), in collaboration with the "Enhancing the Capacity of Young Vietnamese Journalists" Project (funded by the US Embassy), will organize a training course on journalistic skills in November 2011, with a total value of USD 15,000. The focus of the training course is to enhance practical knowledge and operational skills for journalism and communication students in particular, and students interested in and passionate about this field in general.

Media and the changing landscape of media worldwide were the main topics of discussion in the October 14th presentation by Professor Claire Woods and Associate Professor Michael Galvin of the School of Communication, International Relations and Languages ​​(University of South Australia) to students of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, as part of their visit to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On the evening of October 3rd, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam jointly organized a rally to commemorate International Non-Violence Day at 19 Le Thanh Tong Street.

On the morning of October 4th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a scholarship awarding ceremony for students majoring in Korean Studies - Faculty of Oriental Studies, sponsored by Doosan Vina.

In the cool autumn weather, the new K56 students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities enrolled this morning, September 4th. As of 5 PM on September 4th, 2011, 1359 out of 1450 summoned candidates had enrolled, achieving a rate of 93.7%.

On the evening of September 23rd, the "I am K56" cultural program took place at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural Center auditorium. Attending the program were Comrade Nguyen Hai Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union and President of the Student Association of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, along with representatives from the university's leadership and the Youth Union and Student Association, and representatives from the sponsors of the K56 Talent Competition: Vietnam Education Newspaper and Aptech Polytechnic Academy.

The Conference of Faculty and Staff Delegates for the 2011-2012 academic year of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was held on September 24th. Attending the conference were Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan – Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, representatives from functional departments and member units of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and over 200 faculty and staff members representing various units within the University.

On September 25, 2011, the Dance for Life program was held for the first time at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On the morning of September 10, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities solemnly held the opening ceremony for the new academic year 2011-2012.

"Francophone Week 2011" is an annual program organized by students of the Francophone Faculty of Psychology (University of Social Sciences and Humanities), for students in French-speaking majors in particular and the student community in general.
