Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh said: “Professor Pham Quang Long has devoted most of his life to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Whether in the position of a teacher, scientist or manager, he has always completed his tasks excellently.”
In terms of research, he has left behind many remarkable works. As a teacher, he has devoted all his passion and knowledge to impart to generations of students. Students tell each other about his personality and passion for his profession. These are invaluable assets that a teacher can possess.

Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Long's contributions to management are also great. He once held the role of Head of the Faculty of Literature, then was elected Vice Principal, Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vice Director of VNU and later Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture. As Principal of the School, he left behind the image of an energetic, profound and dedicated leader for the development of the School. The foundations that he and the first generations of leaders built are of great significance for the development of the School today.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh shared that Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Long was a person who worked in management from a very early age and especially was the one who "took the lead" in difficult times of the unit or the industry. With his intellectual thinking and good vision, he made important contributions to the unit in the early stages of its establishment. And above all, no matter the circumstances, he was always loved and admired by his subordinates for his sincerity, closeness and friendliness towards everyone.
School union representative presents gift to Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Long
Representing the leadership of the Faculty of Literature, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Xuan Thach said: The time when Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Long led the Faculty of Literature was the period when the Faculty was truly successful in transforming from the Soviet university model to a new model. The Faculty of Literature has contributed to the University to prove its pioneering mission in research and teaching of social sciences and humanities. Many other majors that the University and VNU are pioneering today were majors that were formed within the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi National University when Mr. Long was still the leader. He left his colleagues and the next generation a great lesson about vision, which is that "without a vision, the unit cannot develop".
Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Long donated 50 million VND to the Faculty of Literature to provide scholarships for poor students who have overcome difficulties of the Faculty.
In recent years, when returning to work at the Faculty of Literature, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Long has made very positive contributions to the professional work of the faculty. He continues to conduct scientific research, continues to write, plan topics and compose literary scripts. He does not stand outside of current events but quickly updates scientific information and always has profound opinions on the development of the country's literature. He is a clear proof that: no matter what position or job, if you still maintain your heart and passion for your profession and life, you will never be forgotten.
Listening to the sharing of colleagues and students, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Long shared: “I am grateful for everyone's feelings and kind words, but I also understand that in life, there are things I can do but there are also many things I have not completed... But as a student and a staff member of the School, I always keep in mind that no matter what I do and what position I hold, I will never let it affect the School. What I have today is largely thanks to the help of the School, colleagues and students.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Long wished the School and the Faculty to always stand firm in difficult times and develop more and more, worthy of being a traditional and prestigious training address of the whole country. He also expressed his wish to be awarded 50 million VND as scholarships for poor students who overcome difficulties of the Faculty of Literature.
