Associate Professor, Dr. Trinh Van Tung, Head of the Faculty of Sociology, spoke at the conference.
Commenting on the school's enrollment work, Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Van Tung, Head of the Faculty of Sociology, said that the school should increase funding for enrollment work because this cost is still low and the efficiency is not high. Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Van Tung gave an example of the International Faculty, VNU, which has considered investing a large amount of funding for enrollment work to help them create a good source of student attraction.
Also in this area, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong, Head of the Faculty of Management Science, said that the School should have policies that focus on cooperation with localities in the enrollment process. Currently, the School's enrollment work is facing fierce competition with many partners, thus requiring close direction and coordination in this work.
For the work-study program, the school should also be more flexible in enrollment. Reduce the number of students per class to about 40. At the same time, soon issue specific instructions on retaking classes and exams for students in this program, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong shared.
Regarding the content of the number of students guiding their thesis, Associate Professor, Dr. Trinh Van Tung proposed to increase the quota for experimental training programs by 1. At the same time, he also hoped that the School would have specific instructions in doctoral training on the issue of guiding foreign students. The School should have a signed document with international partners on the issue of guidance agreement.
Speaking at the conclusion of this working session, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Principal of the School requested that the School's Training Department regularly support units to arrange training schedules, so that the training process takes place smoothly and effectively.
Regarding the training of postgraduates, the Training Department needs to continue to review to improve and promote this activity. Accordingly, the Department needs to pay attention to the training guidance process to ensure that master's thesis can be completed in 1.5 years and doctoral thesis in 3 years; and to be strict in reporting the progress of postgraduate students.
The training department also quickly reviewed the management mechanism for graduate students and doctoral students to reduce the cumbersome factors. Improve the service activities of graduate students and doctoral students in a one-stop direction. Continue to improve, innovate and the spirit of service - promote the culture of service, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan shared.
