Seminar on the history of Vietnam-Morocco relations will be held

The conference will be a forum for renowned professors, historians and experts from Vietnam to share and discuss lessons learned from historical memories shared between Morocco and Vietnam. The conference will also be attended by representatives of the Vietnam Veterans Association and the Moroccan Resistance and Liberation Army Veterans Committee. The conference will be followed by a visit to the “Gate of Morocco” in Tan Linh, Ba Vi, an architectural landmark built between 1958 and 1960 by Moroccan soldiers who abandoned the French army to join the Viet Minh during the Indochina War.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh welcomed the idea of ​​organizing the workshop of the Embassy of Morocco and considered this a good opportunity to expand the relationship between the University and foreign partners. On behalf of the University, the Rector pledged to create the best conditions for the workshop to be successful and create a widespread effect. The Department of Cooperation and Development will be the contact point between the two sides.

Vietnam and Morocco established diplomatic relations on March 27, 1961. Currently, the two countries have embassies in each other's capitals. Mr. Azzeddine Farhane officially began his position as Ambassador of Morocco to Vietnam on February 20, 2017.
