During the meeting, Professor Mitsuaki Endo, on behalf of the Asian Geographic Linguistics Association, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and expressed his desire to cooperate with the University in joint research activities. In particular, the Association hopes to host the 5th International Conference on Asian Geographic Linguistics at the University in 2020. To begin the meeting, Professor Mitsuaki Endo gave a presentation on the topic "Some Issues in Asian Geographic Linguistics" to the faculty, lecturers, and students of the Linguistics Department of the University.
Professor Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the idea of organizing the conference by the Asian Geographical Linguistics Society. This will be a good opportunity for faculty, lecturers, and students of the University to expand their professional knowledge, as well as to interact with scholars and scientists both domestically and internationally. The Rector, on behalf of the University, committed to creating the best conditions for the conference to be successfully organized. Furthermore, the papers and reports presented at the conference will supplement the works published in international journals. This is very much in line with the University's internationalization and integration orientation.
