During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the cooperation between the Institute for Global Engagement and the University in organizing short-term training courses on religion and the rule of law in Vietnam. These courses help the University's staff and lecturers update and improve their professional knowledge, disseminate legal knowledge to local areas, and contribute to the legislative process of Vietnamese state agencies. For the University specifically, the course led to the establishment of a strong research group on religion and the rule of law, chaired by Professor Do Quang Hung, as well as the Department of Religious Studies within the Faculty of Philosophy.
On behalf of the Institute for Global Engagement in Vietnam, Ms. Vu Thi Mai Hien expressed gratitude for the cooperation and goodwill of the University in completing the necessary procedures to organize the courses. The Institute for Global Engagement hopes to continue working with the University to disseminate knowledge about religion in Vietnamese life. She also agreed with the proposal of Professor Pham Quang Minh that the courses should aim to produce genuine scientific research products, especially works published internationally.
