On November 5, 2008, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a scholarship awarding ceremony sponsored by Acer Vietnam. Four scholarships were awarded on this occasion.
There are three scholarships worth 1,500,000 VND each for first-year students of the QH-2008-X cohort who achieved good results in the 2008 university entrance exam, including Trinh Quoc Nam (Han Nom major), Pham Ngoc Trang and Nguyen Thi Thu Trang (History major).

He is a fourth-year student who has overcome difficulties to achieve excellent academic results, with an average GPA of 8.8 for the past academic year.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung (representative of the sponsor) stated: From October 20th to November 25th, 2008, Acer Vietnam, in collaboration with Microsoft, awarded scholarships named “Acer – For Every Beginning” to 40 students from 10 universities in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. In addition, the “Acer – For Every Beginning” program also sponsored the schools with free Wi-Fi for one year and provided opportunities for students to explore the latest technology products from Acer.
