There are over 200 representative images, documents, and artifacts on display, categorized into five main sections:

- The Party's and President Ho Chi Minh's policies and guidelines on building the people's armed forces;

- Some images and artifacts related to militia and guerrillas in the national liberation war;

- Some images of the armed forces of the capital city;

- The Vietnam People's Army in strategic decisive battles;

- Some images and artifacts of the armed forces today.

This exhibition features many valuable artifacts, such as: padded jackets used during the resistance against the French; helmets and clothing of American pilots captured by our troops during the 12-day and 12-night campaign against the American bombing campaign in North Vietnam in December 1972; the handwritten declaration of unconditional surrender by President Duong Van Minh of the Saigon government on the afternoon of April 30, 1975... In addition, there are many artifacts that are weapons used by our people in various localities during the resistance periods, such as: spike traps used by the Central Highlands guerrillas, spike boards used by the Hung Yen guerrillas, machetes used by the Ha Nam self-defense forces, crossbows used by the Son La guerrillas during the war against the French; spears, bamboo sticks, and machetes used by the people of South Vietnam to fight the Americans; and various homemade guns used by our soldiers in combat...

The exhibits showcase the creativity, extraordinary courage, and determination of the Vietnamese people in fighting against enemies with vastly superior military power and economic support. They also clearly demonstrate the strength of justice, the power of righteousness, and the people's war strategy that our Party successfully implemented throughout the two resistance wars.

At the exhibition, visitors can also watch historical documentaries about the Dien Bien Phu campaign of 1954, the 12-day and 12-night Dien Bien Phu air battle in 1972, and the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign that led to the victory of the Vietnamese revolution in 1975.

The exhibition is a meaningful activity commemorating the 64th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2008), the 62nd anniversary of the National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946 - December 19, 2008), and the 19th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2008).
