Tourism in the context of economic crisis

The scientific seminar with the theme "Tourism development in the context of economic crisis and issues raised" organized by the Faculty of Tourism Studies took place on April 6, 2012.Attending the seminar were Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Principal of the University, Dr. Nguyen Van Luu - Deputy Director of the Training Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, representatives of universities, travel companies, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Tourism Studies. The seminar focused on discussing key issues related to tourism development in the context of the current economic crisis: sustainable tourism development, global economic crisis and solutions for Vietnam tourism, preserving cultural heritage as a tourism development activity, activities to promote Vietnam tourism development. Scientists were particularly interested in discussing issues of linkage in management, investment in market research, domestic and international tourism promotion, human resource training and development... to promote the development of the country's tourism. Besides, some other opinions at the discussion also mentioned the great values ​​of tourism and made some recommendations to protect and promote the strengths of Vietnam's tourism industry.
