A scientific seminar on the topic "Tourism Development in the Context of Economic Crisis: Issues Arising," organized by the Faculty of Tourism Studies, took place on April 6, 2012.
A scientific seminar on the topic "Tourism Development in the Context of Economic Crisis: Issues Arising," organized by the Faculty of Tourism Studies, took place on April 6, 2012.The seminar was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Rector of the University, Dr. Nguyen Van Luu - Deputy Director of the Training Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, representatives from universities, tourism companies, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Tourism Studies. The seminar focused on discussing key issues related to tourism development in the context of the current economic crisis: sustainable tourism development, the global economic crisis and solutions for Vietnamese tourism, cultural heritage preservation as a tourism development activity, and activities to promote Vietnamese tourism. Scientists were particularly interested in discussing issues of collaboration in management, investment in market research, domestic and international tourism promotion, and human resource training and development... all aimed at boosting the development of the country's tourism. In addition, several other opinions at the seminar also addressed the immense value of tourism and offered some recommendations to protect and promote the strengths of Vietnam's tourism industry.
