To celebrate the 10th anniversary of cooperation and development between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Rosa Luxemburg Institute (Federal Republic of Germany), the Center for Policy Research and Analysis (CEPSTA) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is the official unit implementing the cooperation projects to organize the celebration activities taking place from April 19, 2012 to April 20, 2012.On the afternoon of April 19, 2012, a press conference and exhibition to celebrate 10 years of cooperation and development and a contest “Learning about Rosa Luxemburg – A woman for democracy and social justice” were solemnly held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Attending the event were leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Rosa Luxemburg Institute, Center for Policy Research and Analysis, agencies, universities, research institutes at home and abroad, and representatives of press agencies... Following that, an international seminar to celebrate “10 years of cooperation and development between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Rosa Luxemburg Institute, Federal Republic of Germany: achievements and prospects” was held on April 20, 2012.
This anniversary is an opportunity to summarize the 10-year cooperation and development process between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Rosa Luxemburg Institute and to present prospects for future cooperation, in order to maintain and promote the cooperative relationship between the two sides. The Center for Policy Research and Analysis, formerly known as the “Sociology Research Program on Policy and Science – Technology”, operates mainly in the field of Policy, a unit of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, established in 1991. The Center has the function of researching, training and consulting on policy-related issues to serve the cause of socio-economic development. The Center is the first partner of the Rosa Luxemburg Institute, Federal Republic of Germany in Vietnam as a unit implementing projects on research and training to improve policy planning capacity, the Education Reform Project and the Project on Choosing Left-wing theories for Vietnam in the transition from a command economy to a market economy.
Over the past 10 years, the Center for Policy Research and Analysis and the Rosa Luxemburg Institute have coordinated to implement many projects/topics, organized more than 20 international scientific seminars and workshops and training courses on policy analysis and planning skills in localities across the country, provided soft skills training courses for students, translated many scientific documents to serve the teaching programs on policy science at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities...
