On April 7, 2012, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the 2012 Party Work Conference.Attending the Conference were Associate Professor, Dr. Phung Xuan Nha (Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the City Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee - Vice President of VNU), representatives of the Boards of the National University Party Committee and comrades of the Party Committee, Board of Directors, Chairman of the Trade Union, Secretary of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Student Association of the School and Party cells, leaders of units and Directors of centers. The Conference listened to and discussed the following reports:
- Thoroughly grasp the new points in the Guidelines for implementing the Party Charter of the 11th Congress and the Resolution of the 4th Central Conference, 11th tenure: some urgent issues in Party building today; thoroughly grasp the 19 things that Party members are not allowed to do, presented by Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Xuan Hang (former Principal of the School).
- Summary report on the activities of the School Party Committee in the first quarter of 2012 and some key tasks in the second semester of the 2011-2012 school year.
- Report on the 4 Work Programs of the School in the period of 2012 - 2015: - Building and developing a team of qualified staff in the period of 2012 - 2015, quickly bringing the School into the group of advanced universities in the region - Building and developing majors and majors to international standards to meet the needs of training high-quality human resources to serve the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country - High-quality research to serve training and meet the development needs of the country - University governance innovation program to gradually move towards an advanced university governance system
The conference highly agreed with the 4 Work Programs of the University for the period 2012 - 2015; at the same time, gave specific comments on the content of each program. Speaking at the conference, Comrade Phung Xuan Nha highly appreciated the Party work of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the 4 Work Programs of the University for the period 2012 - 2015; the University of Social Sciences and Humanities needs to continue to focus on completing its strategic tasks well. Summarizing the conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Party Committee Secretary - affirmed: The 4 Work Programs for the period 2012 - 2015 are the basic requirements and tasks of the University; the functional departments received the opinions of the conference, revised the 4 programs for promulgation and implementation. In the coming time, the whole University needs to focus on implementing 3 basic tasks well:
- Complete conversion of undergraduate and graduate training programs
- Carry out strategic tasks well
- Further strengthen the work of rectifying school discipline and culture.
