The awarding ceremony of short-term Persian language certificate level A for students who participated in the course from September 2011 to March 2012 took place on April 19, 2012. Among the 7 students receiving the certificate this time, 6 students are students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and 1 student is from the Embassy of Iran in Vietnam.Attending the ceremony were Mr. Hossein Alvandi Behineh (Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Vietnam), Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Principal of the University), Associate Professor Dr. Mohammad Khosravi Shakib (lecturer in charge of the class) and lecturers and students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The short-term Persian language course is one of the contents of the cooperation program signed between the University and the Embassy of Iran in Vietnam. Before that, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the University received and worked with Mr. Hossein Alvandi Behineh. Leaders of the two sides discussed cooperation programs between the two sides in the coming time. The Ambassador highly appreciated the cooperation process between the University and the Embassy of Iran in the past time. At the same time, the Ambassador expressed his hope and belief that the cooperation programs between the school and the embassy as well as between Iranian universities, especially Tehran University - the largest university in Iran, will achieve good results. The Ambassador affirmed: The Iranian Embassy in Vietnam will continue to support and cooperate with the School in cultural and educational development programs.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh thanked the Iranian Embassy in Vietnam and the Ambassador himself for their interest and support in promoting cooperation programs between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Iranian universities. The Rector hoped that with the help of the Embassy in the near future, the programs signed between the University and Tehran University: coordinating the organization of seminars, exchanging learning materials, organizing the programs "Iranian Cultural Week in Vietnam" and "Vietnamese Cultural Week in Iran" will be effectively implemented. At the same time, continuing to open Persian language courses to lay the foundation for opening a Middle Eastern Studies major at the University. In the coming time, the Faculty of Oriental Studies will continue to enroll and open short-term Persian language courses at levels A and B.
