On January 14, 2018, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities welcomed a delegation of teachers and students from Van Nham High School (Huu Lung district, Lang Son province) to visit and learn about the academic programs and study opportunities at the university. The student delegation was led by Ms. Tran Van Anh (a former student of the 45th cohort of Linguistics at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities).

School representatives introduced and discussed the school's activities with the visiting delegation.

On behalf of the University, Dr. Pham Huy Cuong (Deputy Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs) welcomed the visiting delegation and briefly introduced the University's rich tradition, outstanding achievements, and its position and role within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the national education system.

Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Van Hong (Training Department) introduced the training programs, learning opportunities, and admission requirements for the 2018-2019 academic year to the teachers and students. During the discussion, in response to questions from the visiting delegation, the university representatives shared more information about learning opportunities, scholarships, and counseling and support activities for students during their studies at the university. The students were particularly interested in career guidance related to each training program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The visit concluded enthusiastically with the university representatives giving the delegation a tour and introducing the facilities serving learning and research activities within the university.

Students from Van Nham High School had a productive discussion about career orientation and study conditions at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

At the end of the visit, representatives from both sides agreed to continue coordinating activities to introduce learning opportunities and career guidance to students annually. Appreciating the practical significance of this activity for the students and the school's training work, the school's representatives also requested that Van Nham High School inform other units in Huu Lung district and, more broadly, Lang Son province to cooperate in organizing similar activities on a larger scale.

The students couldn't hide their joy at visiting the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the first time – a leading institution in research and training in social sciences and humanities nationwide.
