It is the cradle that established the movement.
In the 2007-2008 academic year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities pioneered the transition from a semester-based system to a credit-based system. In line with the Vietnam National University, Hanoi's policy, this was a new step contributing to improved quality and international integration. However, this presented both challenges and opportunities for the University's Student Union to systematically adjust its organizational structure to be more suitable.
To date, student union activities and movements continue to be maintained under the credit-based training system. The Student Union also initiates many movements and activities to help students develop their creativity and pioneering spirit.
The university's Student Union successfully organized activities to support students in their studies and scientific research, such as: seminars on "Preparing for New Students," seminars on "Study Methods at the University Level," seminars on "Student Scientific Research Methods," and awarded the "Green Torch" prize to students with high achievements in scientific research with topics related to youth, students, the Youth Union, and the Student Union.
A series of large-scale events helps students develop their full potential, linking the image of each member and student with the overall image of the university. Notable examples include the "New Student Orientation Day," the "Humanities Colors" camp and cultural exchange, the "Humanities Talent and Beauty - USSH Gralent" competition, "Spring of Love," the "Humanities Green" on-site volunteer activities, and the Green Summer campaign…
Notably, the Association has promoted volunteer activities related to its professional field. Highlights include the "Warm Clothes for Children" project by the Psychology Department's Student Union; the Information and Library Science Department's mobile library project "Up"; and the Sociology Department's "Loving Tet" project…

Humanist style
To realize the campaign "Building the style of VNU students," the campaign "Building the style of humanities students" has been actively implemented by the University's Student Union and has achieved remarkable results.
Specifically, the University Student Union successfully conceived and launched a product: ID card lanyards with a humanities theme. They also implemented the production of uniforms for Youth Union and Student Union officials and students throughout the university. This contributed to increasing pride in being a student of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, presenting a positive image of the university's students to the wider community in both internal and external activities.
The university's Student Union, in collaboration with the Youth Union, organized the "Humanitarian Ideas" competition and launched the official logo and slogan for the university's youth: Humanistic Youth – Soaring High like a lost bird.
The "Study with discipline, review with quality, take exams seriously" movement, with its humorous, engaging, and meaningful visual products, has achieved its goal of promoting and encouraging students to take their studies and exams seriously.

The "Talent and Beauty of Humanities – USSH Gralent" event was a successful and memorable event organized by the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Nurturing the seeds of humanism
Besides contributing to the development of student activities, the Student Union also creates opportunities for student development through the development of clubs/teams/groups. During the past 6th term, the Union officially established and put into operation 5 clubs: Garnet Reception and Events Club, Humanities Vovinam Club, Humanities Youth Blood Donation Team, SEG Student Event Organizing Club, and Men's Football Club. This brings the total number of clubs/teams/groups under the University's Student Union to 11.
In particular, the University Student Union always prioritizes the development of volunteer activities related to professional fields. Specifically, the Union always encourages the establishment of clubs/teams/groups within the Faculty's student union. Examples include the English Club (International Studies Faculty Student Union), the Calligraphy Club and Film Club (Literature Faculty Student Union), and the Young Travelers Club (Tourism Studies Faculty Student Union)...
To help the mythical bird fly far.
Speaking at the recent 7th Congress of the University's Student Union, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, expressed his concerns about the role of the University's Student Union in the process of integration and development: “Over the past 15 years, the University's Student Union has demonstrated a significant role in all activities. We must not be complacent with the achievements we have made, but must always reflect on ourselves, overcome existing limitations, especially regarding the trend of integration, something the University's Student Union has not yet clearly demonstrated. It is time we stopped being indifferent and avoided the issue, and instead confronted it, proposing strong and timely directions and solutions for development.”
Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh emphasized that in the upcoming 7th term, the Student Union needs even more ideas to help humanities students become more integrated in the future. For the "Lac bird" of the humanities to both preserve tradition and look towards the future, transcending its limitations to integrate with the world, the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities plays a crucial role.
