Master's Tea Club #8: Friday the 13th and Spiritual Stories

Monday - October 16, 2017 10:48 AM
Friday the 13th of any month is considered an unlucky day in many countries. However, it was a lively and successful gathering for the Master's Tea Club (MTC). Recognizing that the 8th MTC event would take place on Friday, October 13th, 2017, the organizers chose the topic of beliefs, spirituality, and superstitions in various countries around the world for the discussion.

MTC session number 8 welcomed a student from Japan and many USSH students. At the beginning of the discussion, the students introduced themselves and shared some customs and beliefs from their respective countries. This allowed the club members to gain a better understanding of the unique aspects of religious beliefs in countries such as Vietnam, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Myanmar, and others, and to broaden their perspective on the diversity of religious beliefs among people around the world.

Next, members of the club took turns sharing a spiritual story they knew. Stories about sacred relics in the To Lich River, the haunted house in Kim Ma, the story of climbing Mount Fuji, stories from Thai funerals, the suicide forest in Japan, spiritual taboos in Vietnam... created a lively, exciting atmosphere mixed with curiosity and suspense for the participating members.

This MTC meeting ended later than usual because members wanted to stay longer to share and listen to more fascinating and engaging stories. Next week's MTC meeting promises to welcome even more new students and feature exciting discussion topics. Interested students are encouraged to join Master's Tea Club every Friday morning in the study room of building E and follow our fanpage at https://www.facebook.com/ussh.master.tea.club for the latest club updates.
