Representatives from eight universities and the Vietnam Institute of Psychology, along with representatives from six universities in the United States, signed an agreement to establish a Steering Committee and Executive Board for the development of school psychology in Vietnam.

The signing ceremony took place solemnly on the morning of January 12, 2010, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, witnessed by the US Ambassador to Vietnam, representatives from several ministries, departments, and international organizations in Vietnam, as well as representatives from universities and academies participating in the signing.
The goal of the signing ceremony is to further develop school psychology in Vietnam – a field that has not yet received sufficient attention and strong development in our country.

(Photo: NA/USSH)" align="left" width="220"/>Through this signing ceremony, the founding members of the Executive and Steering Committee also hope that the field of school psychology in Vietnam will have a solid foundation, be included in formal and systematic teaching according to national and international standards.
This is the first project to develop a sub-discipline of Psychology in Vietnam with the largest number of domestic and international universities and research institutes participating in its development and implementation.
At the signing ceremony, the US Ambassador to Vietnam, as well as representatives from key organizations, highly appreciated the role and position of school psychology in contributing to the education and guidance of future generations in Vietnam in particular and humanity in general. Therefore, the signing ceremony and the strong development of school psychology in Vietnam are essential and important in the future development roadmap.
