This morning (January 21), a discussion took place at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This is an activity under the KX.03 Program researching the influence of Western European and North American culture on the world and Vietnam.
The contents discussed at the seminar include:
- How has Western culture influenced the cultures of other regions in the world in the process of globalization: Discussions focus on clarifying the basic policies, tools and methods of spreading Western European and North American culture abroad, especially to developing countries; the process and results of the great impact of Western European and North American culture on a number of important regions and countries in the world in the process of globalization; the possibility of continued impact in the future of Western European and North American culture on the cultures of peoples in the world.
- How to receive, apply and promote positive elements of Western European and North American culture: Delegates have summarized and analyzed the experiences of success and failure as well as the challenges of countries around the world, especially Vietnam, in receiving, applying and promoting positive elements, limitations of negative elements of Western European and North American culture in the process of building its own culture. On that basis, many lessons have been drawn, many solutions on the macro and micro levels have been proposed so that Vietnamese culture can respond effectively in contact with European and American culture, serving the cause of modernization and industrialization of the country.
