First session of the Congress of Delegates of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, University of Social Sciences and Humanities

Attending the congress were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Party Secretary, Vice Principal of the School; Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Deputy Party Secretary, Principal of the School; and nearly 200 union members representing about 6,000 students of the school.

At the beginning of the congress, the presidium presented the review report of the School Youth Union Executive Committee for the 2014-2017 term and the project to build the new Executive Committee for the 2017-2019 term.

After the presentation of the report, the congress voted to elect a Ballot Counting Committee to conduct the election.

In the discussion section, the congress also frankly raised important issues for students such as: applying professional activities in volunteer work, professional activities of the staff union branches, etc. Many opinions from different Union branches were shared by the delegates right in the hall. The Presidium expressed its appreciation and expectation that the new term Executive Committee will absorb those opinions into the common development in the future.

At the end of the first session, the congress elected 21 comrades in the list of the School Youth Union Executive Committee for the 2017-2019 term and 26 comrades to attend the 5th Congress of Delegates of the Hanoi National University.
