To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), on the morning of July 25, a delegation of staff from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh – Vice Rector of the University, visited and presented gifts to war invalids and sick soldiers being cared for at the Thuan Thanh War Invalids Rehabilitation Center (Ninh Xa commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province). Also accompanying the delegation were Ms. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh – President of the University's Trade Union and other members of the Trade Union Executive Committee.
The Thuan Thanh War Invalids Rehabilitation Center currently manages and cares for 97 severely wounded and sick soldiers from provinces and cities from Thua Thien Hue northward. Most of the wounded and sick soldiers have spinal injuries and require transportation by vehicle. Among them, there is one soldier from the resistance war against the French and 61 soldiers from the resistance war against the Americans.
Associate Professor Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh and the delegation kindly inquired about the health and treatment of the wounded and sick soldiers at the Center and expressed their admiration for the resilience of the wounded and sick soldiers who have strived to overcome their difficulties, following Uncle Ho's teaching, "Wounded soldiers may be disabled, but they are not useless." Associate Professor Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh extended his best wishes to the wounded and sick soldiers and expressed his deep gratitude to them for their bravery in fighting and sacrificing for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
