Continuing short-term Korean language training for outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Vietnam.

Following the success of previous Korean language courses, Samsung Electronics Vietnam continued its cooperation and held the opening ceremony for its fourth Korean language course for 15 outstanding employees this morning (February 22, 2016) at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Attending the opening ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi; Mr. Toan Van Bach, Human Resources Director of Samsung Electronics Vietnam in Thai Nguyen; Mr. Le Van Thang, Head of Training Department; and Ms. Le Thi Thu, Head of Recruitment Department and lecturer in Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, delivered the opening speech at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh shared his joy at attending the opening ceremony of the short-term Korean language course for outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Vietnam in Thai Nguyen.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated Samsung Electronics' efforts in providing foreign language training for its local employees. This is the fourth time the Korean Studies department of the university has been chosen by the company to cooperate in organizing training for them.

The Korean Studies Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, with 20 years of establishment and development, has risen to the top position nationwide, becoming a research and training center for the Korean language highly regarded by many Korean experts. To select, train, and nurture the most outstanding students, the department only admits approximately 20 to 30 full-time students each year.

The majority of the faculty and staff are young and dynamic, with high-quality, well-trained personnel. To date, previous training courses have received very positive feedback regarding the work ethic and training quality of the faculty members.

As a leading training institution in the field of social sciences and humanities nationwide, the University always desires greater cooperation with the company. Through this cooperation, the University's lecturers will improve their skills, and students will have more opportunities for internships and employment with the company.

Mr. Tao Van Bach, Human Resources Director of Samsung Electronics Vietnam in Thai Nguyen, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tao Van Bach, Human Resources Director of Samsung Electronics Vietnam in Thai Nguyen, expressed his gratitude to the school for its cooperation in training the company's staff. The 15 trainees in this course are outstanding individuals who could potentially become core management personnel at Samsung Electronics Vietnam in Thai Nguyen in the future.

During the training period, trainees need to demonstrate a diligent and proactive learning attitude to maximize the effectiveness of their studies over the three months. After completing the course, they should bring the knowledge gained back to effectively serve the company's operations.

"For trainees who do not comply with the regulations, the teachers and the school can report directly to the company so that the company can take appropriate measures to intervene and remind them, in order to ensure the quality of training," said Mr. Tao Van Bach.

The school's leadership team and the leadership of Samsung Electronics took a commemorative photo with the students.

A short-term Korean language course for outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Vietnam in Thai Nguyen took place over 3 months (from February 22nd to May 19th, 2016). The target outcome after completing the course was to achieve levels 4 and 5.

The course consists of three consecutive sessions per day, totaling 10 hours of study. Assessments are conducted continuously. A short 5-10 minute quiz will be given at the beginning of each session daily. A one-hour quiz will be held every two weeks, and a comprehensive monthly assessment covering all listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills will be conducted monthly.

The results of the weekly review and evaluation process will be relayed back to company leadership.
