Developing cooperative relations with East China Normal University (Shanghai)

On the eve of the Lunar New Year of the Monkey, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh – Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – had a cordial meeting with Professor Gu Weimin – representative of the Department of History and the Institute of Private Studies, East China Normal University (Shanghai, China).

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged information on training programs and research directions of each university, and also preliminarily agreed on some common scientific directions for future cooperation. East China University hopes to invite 3-5 faculty members from the university annually for short-term research, guest lectures, collaborative research programs, co-organizing scientific conferences, and international publications… Professor Gu Weimin also conveyed the proposal from the President of the University of Normal Sciences.Regarding the signing of the official cooperation agreement between the two schools.

On behalf of the School's Board of Directors, Principal Pham Quang Minh thanked Professor Co Ve Dan for his ideas on developing cooperative relations between the two institutions, and committed to researching and implementing several cooperation programs in training, research, and staff exchange between the two schools.

During his visit to the University, Professor Co Ve Dan also held professional discussions with Associate Professor Vu Van Quan (Head of the History Department) and Associate Professor Nguyen Quang Hung (Deputy Head of the Philosophy Department) on the current state of religious history research in Vietnam.
