During the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa briefly introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as a leading institution for research and training in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. The university offers 24 undergraduate programs, 40 master's programs, and 31 doctoral programs; initially developing from basic sciences and later expanding to applied sciences. The university has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with over 300 international partners; including 4 MOUs with universities in the Czech Republic, most recently an MOU with Charles University, Prague in June 2016.

Vice Rector Tran Thi Minh Hoa shared that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities wishes to cooperate with universities in the Czech Republic to open centers for Vietnamese studies and the Vietnamese language in the country, as well as implement other activities such as student and faculty exchanges and joint research projects. These cooperative activities will contribute to educational cooperation between Vietnam and former socialist countries and Europe in general.
In response, Mr. Václaz Klaus expressed his gratitude for the warm and friendly welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He agreed with the idea of strengthening cooperation between the University and universities in the Czech Republic. Currently, Czech universities are increasing their teaching in English, creating more opportunities for international students to enroll. Therefore, he hopes to see more Vietnamese students come to live and study in his country. At the same time, the Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the House of Representatives of the Czech Republic will support the renewal and supplementation of the memoranda of understanding that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has signed with its Czech partners.

It is known that, in addition to educational cooperation, together with the Embassy of the Czech Republic and several other Eastern European countries in Vietnam, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has organized cultural exchange activities such as the Holocaust Memorial Ceremony on January 23, 2018, and the photo exhibition "Kafka - A Journey to Vietnamese Readers" on April 9, 2018.
