Sad news: Associate Professor, Doctor, Meritorious Teacher Pham Xanh has passed away.

Associate Professor, Doctor, Meritorious Teacher Pham Xanh, born in 1943, a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, recipient of the Third-Class Resistance Medal and the Third-Class Labor Medal, former Head of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Vietnamese History, Faculty of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, passed away at 0:52 AM on June 2, 2018 (corresponding to the 19th day of the 4th lunar month of the Year of the Dog) at Friendship Hospital due to a serious illness, at the age of 76.

The memorial service will take place from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on June 5, 2018, at the National Funeral Home, 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi.

The memorial service and funeral procession will take place at 11:00 AM on the same day.

Cremation takes place at the Universal Crematorium.
