At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim briefly introduced the history of training and research of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as a leading address for training in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. The Vice President proposed the implementation of cooperation between Baruch University by suggesting some directions of activities between the two schools such as implementing joint research topics, exchanging lecturers and students.
Prof. Jeffrey Marc Peck said that this was the first time Baruch College had visited Vietnam. He welcomed the proposal of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim and said that Baruch College wanted to learn more about the activities of the USSH. In particular, he proposed student exchanges between the two sides as an activity to promote cooperation. In addition, he hoped that the two colleges would conduct joint research on historical and public administration issues, such as public policy, civil society, demography, Southeast Asian and Vietnamese history, history of the war in Vietnam, etc.

In response, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim said that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is ready to welcome American students to study and conduct research at the University through short-term courses in English, learning Vietnamese and visiting Vietnamese society, as well as sending lecturers from the University to conduct the above-mentioned joint research.
