Essential skills for taking the IELTS exam

The Center for Foreign Languages ​​and Training Cooperation is a unit directly under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, established in 1997. The Center is the only unit in Vietnam authorized by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to organize exams and issue specialized foreign language certificates for international tour guides. The Center is a reputable unit organizing preparation courses for international certificates such as IELTS, TOEIC, PET, FCE…; and participates in advising and supporting students to study abroad in countries such as the UK, Germany, South Korea, China, Japan…

In particular, to support students who wish to take the IELTS exam, since 2013, the Center has become an authorized test registration partner of the British Council Vietnam. The instructors for the IELTS preparation classes are all teachers currently teaching at specialized language universities, with teaching experience and high IELTS scores.

At the workshop, experts from the British Council shared with participants a variety of information related to the IELTS exam: the characteristics of the IELTS test, the value of an IELTS certificate when applying for study abroad in countries around the world, IELTS and job opportunities, registration procedures to note when taking the exam, IELTS preparation tips, etc. The workshop aimed to provide essential guidance on the IELTS exam and to boost the confidence of young people on their journey of learning and using English.
