According to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the theme of this year's World Tourism Day emphasizes the potential of tourism to bring new opportunities for communities to develop socio-economically and better lives around the world. In particular, the key role of communities in promoting sustainable tourism development is particularly valued. There will be no truly developed tourism industry if that development threatens the values and cultures of local communities. According to the UNWTO Global Code of Conduct for Tourism: “Local people need to be involved in tourism activities and share equitably in the socio-economic and cultural benefits they generate.”.
With the aim of sharing and conveying the above message, the Gala night took place vibrantly with many youthful performances, dances, and songs, full of the dynamic spirit of youth. The focus of the night was a skit and a game show to communicate and help people understand the important role and position of the tourism industry, the meaning of linking tourism with community development, what to do to harmonize business interests and social interests, what should young people do to respond to the message of World Tourism Day 2014?...
The Gala Night also had the participation of students from several universities in Hanoi. The program is an annual and typical activity of students of the Faculty of Tourism, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
