Preliminary round of the Melody of Life 2014 competition

From very early on, members of the organizing committee were present at the preliminary round venue to carry out the final preparations for the upcoming preliminary round. Around 3 PM, as scheduled, the contestants arrived on the 8th floor of building E to receive their registration numbers and double-check their beats for their performances. The organizing committee and the contestants worked together diligently and harmoniously to ensure the best possible quality for each contestant's performance.

The judging panel for the program includes: Mr. Tran Bach Hieu, M.Sc. - Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, singer Thuy Dang - top 14 of The Voice 2012, and Mr. Andrew Venemore - English lecturer at ACET center.

Nearly 70 performances by students from various departments brought unique colors to each segment of the preliminary round. On the evening of October 16th, the contestants truly shone with their talents and impressed the judges. The diversity in musical genres contributed to creating wonderful, distinctive, vibrant, and student-style performances.

The atmosphere in the auditorium on the 8th floor of building E was heated up not only by the contestants' energetic songs but also by the enthusiastic cheers of the students. This helped each contestant gain more confidence and strength to successfully complete their performance.

At approximately 7:30 PM, the preliminary round officially concluded. The judges then deliberated among themselves, reviewing each contestant's individual evaluations to select the 12 best candidates to advance to the Final round.

Thus, after more than 3 hours of competition, the preliminary round has concluded successfully. In the coming days, the organizing committee and the contestants will enter the preparation phase for the spectacular Grand Finale of the English Singing Contest of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Melody of Life 2014.
