Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Nghia highly appreciated the significance of the "Project on Behavioral Change Education for Family Building and Domestic Violence Prevention," stating that the project's activities will have a profound and practical impact on all levels of society. Through family education activities, the project aims to raise awareness about the family in society, helping all levels of society better understand the position, role, and function of the family in the development of society. Through organizing models of happy family education, the project will help families and individuals develop their strengths, be ready to face challenges and difficulties in family life, and strengthen families in the face of complex social changes.
The project will contribute to the improvement of legal documents related to the field of marriage and family. The lessons learned from the implementation of the project will help promote the implementation of the Vietnamese family development strategy to 2020, with a vision to 2030.
At the ceremony, hundreds of students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities raised their hands to show their determination to support the "Say No to Domestic Violence" project.
The ceremony was one of the activities in the series of events of the 2014 Freshman Orientation Day of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
