Meeting and working with representatives from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office.

On February 9, 2015, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) met and worked with Dr. Tung-Yi Lee, Director of Science and Technology, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Hanoi.

Professor Nguyen Van Khanh expressed his pleasure in welcoming Dr. Tung-Yi Lee. The Rector stated that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a leading institution for training in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. Many prominent Vietnamese leaders and politicians are alumni of the University. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Hanoi is a leading institution for training and research in Chinese studies, with leading experts trained there. In 1995, the University established the Department of Chinese Studies within the Faculty of Oriental Studies and has been providing training from bachelor's to doctoral levels in Chinese studies. In 2014, the University also established the Taiwan Education Center to promote cultural exchange, educational cooperation, and language exchange between Vietnam and Taiwan.

Dr. Tung-Yi Lee stated that the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office is ready to contribute to strengthening cooperation between the University and universities in Taiwan through faculty and student exchanges. Dr. Lee also expressed his desire to learn from the University in particular and Vietnam in general. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Dr. Tung-Yi Lee extended his best wishes to the Rector and all staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and hoped that the relationship between the two sides would continue to develop in the future.
